$1K MRR
— Feb 9, 2024
What happened:
How it happened:
-
From my other blog,
Linkout:
-
Building part-time. Maybe.
- If Linkout were to have a future, this should've been it.
-
So for the sake of curiosity, heavily inspired by
Tooljet,
Reactflow, and
Portkey, we
publicized a
repo
of 6 features of Linkout and got 100+ stars within a week.
-
We had users using it from early various-stage startups like
Growth School.
All of it inbound.
-
One such ping was from an early-stage startup that had more feature
requests to connect CRM with LinkedIn data. We signed them in, marking
them our first enterprise client. Also making us a $1K in monthly
recurring revenue business.
-
We then set up an API gateway, got added to their Slack channel, and
shipped the APIs to them.
-
Last time I was into international transfers was during my 11 standard
tinkering freelancer.com. So, I had to figure out the present best
choice. We found out that
wise.com was seamless.
We asked the clients to schedule recurring payments via wise.com.
Statement:
-
A maxim from the book 'Rework': Anyone who runs a sustainable and
profitable business, whether big or small, should be proud.
-
100% margin, a lean team, a business involving invoices, bills,
payments, and high-value product - done.
